The oil obtained from agricultural hemp seeds, together with linseed oil, has always been one of the most popular, favoured and widely used in cooking oils. Two plant “based oils” which during thousands of years the Northern Slovanians used in a diet are linseed and hemp oils. The therapeutic effects of hemp oil in humans can be explained by the fact that our body receives a natural product, the composition of which is adopted the most, but many components of the “native” product are necessary for full functioning of the body. In terms of modern language, hemp oil is a “dietary product with a high biological value.” Hemp oil contains antioxidants, protein, carotene, phytosterols, phospholipids and a lot of useful minerals, including calcium, magnesium, sulfur, potassium, iron, zinc and phosphorus. Hemp seed oil is a source of protein and contains all twenty amino acids, including nine basic (essential) amino acids. Hemp oil also contains А, B1, B2, B3, B6, C, D, and E vitamins. Hemp oil is green in color due to the high level of chlorophyll in the oil, which contains seeds. But the most valuable feature of hemp oil is the high amount of fatty acids, which is higher than in any other vegetable oil – 75%. In addition, hemp oil contains 2.6% GLA (gamma – linoleic acid), derived from the EFA. Omega 3 and Omega 6 acid ratio is 1:3, this are the optimal two essences of fatty acids (EFA) Omega 3 (LNA) and Omega 6 acid (LA)ratio.

Hemp oil – crude. Hemp oil is an efficient, healthy and tasty medicine for treating many diseases! Medical literature contains news that the hemp oil helps treating deseases of upper respiratory catarrh, chronic bronchitis and spicy bronchitis, genitalia, gallbladder, kidneys and other human organs. Cure obtained from hemp pies treates such diseases as neurasthenia, impotence, rachitis, diathesis. Preparations of hemp seeds (in the form of infusin or so-called hemp milk) is used as a cleansing, urine, driving, and strong mitigating means. They are suggested in cases of digestive apparatus ailments and genital and urinary tract inflammation (gonorrhea, catarrh gall bladder, prostate inflammation), hemorrhoids, swelling, scrofula, tuberculosis, lung, nervous weakness. Skin care oils are often used together with linseed or unrefined olive oil.
Oily skin – hemp oil is recommended for porous skin, it restores the skin’s barrier function, effectively regulating the work of the sebaceous glands and normalizes the secretion eliminable composition, accelerates regeneration and moisturize. Dry skin – enriched with hemp oil and essential fatty acids, because it stimulates renewal of crashed skin. It has excellent moisturizing properties, it improves the complexion.

Hemp oil is used in cooking, salads, a variety of pie baking, cosmetics, medicine, and it is popular among fishermen, because the white river fish do not respond to any modern bait so as to hemp oil. Hemp oil retention period: 6-12 months when stored in a cool place, avoiding direct sunlight.
